It was the sort of yell that makes you drop your coffee.
I leapt up to my 4-year-old son’s room.
He was shouting and frantic.
“It’s YOU. It’s a daddy longlegs! Look. LOOK… a teeny tiny one up there!
It’s a Noah Longlegs!!!! See it?”
What I could see was black spots from having leapt up and scaled the stairs 3 at a time.
Noah was excited in discovering himself in insect form.
To him, it was a momentous moment of opportunity and wonder.
To me, it was a reminder that I was not 20-years-old anymore… and
