Daddy, I want to go there one day…

I was listening to some classical music. I’ve not done so in some time as country is my usual thing. As usual, my son wanted to know the name of the track.

  • Noah: What is it?
  • Daddy: The Isle of the Dead – by Rachmaninov.
  • Noah: How you get there? By airplane?
  • Daddy: No. You have to be dead.
  • Noah: I want to go there one day.
  • Daddy: Probably. But not for a long time, I hope.

Isn’t it great that young kids have no concept of time? It’s quite the opposite as you get older, time becomes more precious – there’s less of it!

I am more conscious now of the sense of urgency to get on with the things I really want to do in life. In my 20s, I rolled with life making few plans. Now, time is something I protect and want to spend wisely.

Life is too short to waste time

Life is too short to be stuck in a rut doing something you don’t enjoy with people you don’t like being around – people who relish throwing obstacles in your path and who delight in bringing you down.

With the right people in your corner and the right focus on prioritising time to get the most out of your dream goals, anything is possible to achieve.

There are those who spend 70+ years existing but who do not live their dreams.

There are those who can squeeze more life out of a single year than others achieve in a whole lifetime – they dare chase and live their dreams.

Dare to chase your dreams?

With the right coach in your corner, you could stop existing and start living the heck out of your life and career. It takes just one simple step….
