How to grab opportunities in life.

I’ve always been a believer in filling life with experiences and seizing opportunities. Often, best experiences come from where an opportunity could easily have been missed.

Take for example my honeymoon in Canada 2013. It was around the time of the Calgary floods that devastated large areas of the city. Many attractions and businesses had closed at this time, but it did not prevent my wife and I taking the C-train to Calgary Zoo.

It was closed.

As this was not on our “must-do” list, the simple thing would have been to hop back on the next C-train back to the city to spend our day doing something else.

Opportunity missed.

And since when did I choose the simple thing anyway? I am an ‘outside the box’ thinker – and I had noticed there was a member of staff inside the closed zoo.

What was the harm in having a little chat before we hopped back on the train?

Nothing in fact. Because what happened next became the highlight of our trip.

My wife and I were invited to “visit” the closed zoo… and trust me, there is something really special in walking around a zoo with no one else around seeing animals just “being”.

Jo, my wife, loves king emperor penguins but had never seen them before. We would never have imagined that for her first encounter, she would be able to watch them in their enclosure as a private audience guest. We are so grateful to Calgary Zoo for a memory that will last a lifetime!

Magical moments don’t happen every day… but they do happen.

It’s all in the mindset.

Do you just let opportunities pass you by or do you seize each chance to make life memorable beyond many people’s wildest imagination?

As a coach, I help people create the life of their dreams – by working on mindset, you will not only spot incredible opportunities, but you will have the belief to understand that almost anything is possible.

There is an opportunity right here… do you want to change your life?

Grab the chance.

I only work with 6 clients in any given month.

Are you one of them – or will you let the opportunity pass?

Professional

I first worked with Will whilst I was a junior member of a teaching team. I worked closely with him for around three years and he became a true mentor to me. During this time Will helped encourage me to discover my own leadership style and he mapped out what it takes to be successful. I highly recommend Will for life and career coaching.

Will is a professional, natural leader who manages to make you feel at ease. He manages to be both emphatic and encouraging, whilst also managing to challenge you to find your own answers. Will’s approach is totally non-judgmental and the sessions are really focused on you and on what you want to achieve. Working with Will has allowed me to address challenges I was facing and he brought a wealth of resources and practical tools to help me set goals, clarify my values, and explore avenues right away. Even though I left teaching 5 years ago, I still seek out Will for his help and guidance and I appreciate his versatility as a thought partner, ally, and coach. Our sessions are always productive and efficiently run, which is perfect for someone who is juggling many priorities! Will brings great communication, professionalism and quality to his work and I highly recommend him as a life/business coach.
